The Legal Use of Force

  • 1206 E Main St Reynoldsville, PA, 15851 United States (map)

This USCCA-certified course, The Legal Use of Force, provides students with a clear understanding of when the use of force—and particularly deadly force—is legally justified. Participants will learn how self-defense laws apply in real-world situations, including the concepts of reasonable force, the use-of-force continuum, and the legal aftermath of a defensive encounter.

The class also explores key topics such as the “Reasonable Person” standard, the five elements of self-defense, the differences between criminal and civil liability, and how to interact with law enforcement after an incident.

By the end of this course, students will have a solid foundation in the legal responsibilities of armed and unarmed self-defense, empowering them to make informed, lawful, and ethical decisions in moments that matter most.
